June—RYLA Month

Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, June 3 through Saturday, June 9, 2018. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Inspiration

“Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” – Jack Welch

Rotary 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.

Sing-Along Song—I'm Feelin' RYLA oooooh

Take your time and sing-along (wherever you may be). Be sure to watch this. Rotarians will go out of their way to have fun. Take your time and sing-along (wherever you may be). You must watch this. Rotarians will go out of their way to have fun.RYLA District 6970 Counselor Evan McInnis loves RYLA almost as much as he loves Taylor Swift... so he combined his passions. Here is is singing his own original lyrics to the melody of Taylor Swift's "22". Joining him are the 2013 RYLA Counselors and Staff. RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and is affiliated with Rotary International. For more information on the RYLA District 6970 program.

Fine Master

Traditionally, Rotary clubs have Fine Masters who are responsible for collecting fines/happy dollars. The clipart to your left is our e-club Fine Master. Do you have happy dollars, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, opening a new business, new car, new child, new grandchild, etc. Please feel free (and perhaps obligated) to click on our Rotary Fine Master button to your right.

The minimum fine is $3.00 to ensure a sufficient amount to take care of the PayPal fee. The purpose of the fines can be viewed by clicking on [View Fines/Happy Dollars] from the [Weekly Meetings] main menu

Program—RYLA 2018

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.

RYLA events are organized locally by Rotary clubs and districts for participants ages 14-30. Depending on community needs, RYLA may take the form of a one-day seminar, a three-day retreat, or a weeklong camp. Typically, events last 3-10 days and include presentations, activities, and workshops covering a variety of topics.Your community might host a RYLA event for secondary school students to hone their leadership potential, for university students to develop creative problem-solving strategies, or for young professionals to learn ethical business practices.
