Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, October 18 through Saturday October 24, 2015. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Inspiration

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." ~ Nelson Mandela

And educating ourselves on Rotary and our world is the most powerful weapon to enjoy Rotary while serving our communities. That's why Rotary International makes a strong emphasis on attending meetings, even for e-clubs.

Rotary 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.

Sing-Along Song - I will Survive

Remember our 4th Anniversary Dinner/Dance on November 14, 2015. Get ready to dance and party.

Program

Are schools designed to help people learn? Are colleges and universities really institutions of higher education? Do students actually learn any science in science classes? Can skate-boarding give us a better model for teaching and learning? Watch this video to find out.

This is a very informative and educating video. Food for thought.

Club Business

Our first Vocational Service Project for the year at Valencia High School will be on October 27 and 28 during the 1st and 2nd period. Check our calendar for details and address. Other club business will be discussed during our Monthly Meeting, Sunday, October 18.
