Uninventing the modern family: Nicole Letourneau

Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, December 6 through Saturday, December 12, 2015. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Invocation

Our supreme creator, we ask you to be with the families and friends of those who were killed or wounded this past week in San Bernardino. We ask you to watch over the wounded so they may heal physically and we ask you to watch over relatives, friends, neighbors, law enforcement personnel and all those involved with the San Bernardino attach so they may eventually heal emotionally from this tragedy. Lastly we ask for your blessings as Rotarians to do what we can to provide peaceful solutions to conflicts. Amen.

Rotary 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.

Sing-Along Song - Need You Now

Take your time and pray for the family, friends, co-workers, and all those affected by the attack in San Bernardo (wherever you may be).

Fine Master

Traditionally, Rotary clubs have Fine Masters who are responsibile for collecting fines/happy dollars. The clipart to your left is our e-club Fine Master. Do you have happy dollars, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, opening a new business, new car, new child, new grandchild, etc. Please feel free (and perhaps obligated) to click on our Rotary FineMaster.

The minimum fine is $3.00 to ensure a sufficient amount to take care of the PayPal fee. The purpose of the fines can be viewed by clicking on [View Fines/Happy Dollars] from the [Weekly Meetings] main menu

Program --Uninventing the modern family: Nicole Letourneau

December is Rotary's Family Month; therefore, our weekly meetings for December will relate to families.

Though the presenter in this video mostly reads from a script and speaks rather fast, her content is quite good and important to relate to today's families. Perhaps, we as Rotarians, can learn how we can instill loving and caring values to families.

Club Business

Remember our Monthly Meeting at the Delfin Hacienda on Friday, December 18.

NOTICE: Dues of $100 in the US or $62 in the PH are due. Please submit your online at Remit Dues or bring your dues to the Monthly Meeting on Dec. 18.
