New Year's Intentions for Moms (for More Peace, Balance, and Ease)

Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, January 3 through Saturday January 9, 2015. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Inspiration

"New Year's Day. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change." ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach

Rotary 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.

Sing-Along Song - We wish you a Merry Christmas Song

Take your time and sing-along (wherever you may be).

Fine Master

Traditionally, Rotary clubs have Fine Masters who are responsible for collecting fines/happy dollars. The clipart to your left is our e-club Fine Master. Do you have happy dollars, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, opening a new business, new car, new child, new grandchild, etc. Please feel free (and perhaps obligated) to click on our Rotary FineMaster button to your right.

The minimum fine is $3.00 to ensure a sufficient amount to take care of the PayPal fee. The purpose of the fines can be viewed by clicking on [View Fines/Happy Dollars] from the [Weekly Meetings] main menu

Program--New Year's Intentions for Moms

Five mothers who discuss their intentions for the new year. "When you set an intention in the form of an "I am" statement, you consciously direct your focus and your energetic expression. What you focus on expands. I'm grateful for the Mom Panel who joins me today to share their intentions for motherhood this year that will help them experience more balance and joy in their role as mothers. As you watch, feel free to use their intentions or to write your own."

What are your intentions for the New Year? What are your plans for Rotary for the remaining six months?

Club Business

We had a successful project at Orangewood Foundation on December 30. Rillea and daughter were the first to arrive. Jun and family soon came. Frank, Art, Rene, Ernie, Benita and Chuck and wife also attended.

The group enjoyed lunch with the children and volunteers which included salad, spaghetti, pizza and cookies. Our president, Celly, couldn't attend, but she cooked brownies for the group.

Frank has made a motion on our Facebook GKeRC-Board Group to change our monthly meeting from Sun, Jan. 17 to Sun, Jan 10. Since we have our District Governors Elect / Anniversary Dinner on January 23, this meeting will essentially be a board meeting; however, all members are invited to attend.

Be sure to attend our District Governors Elect / Anniversary Dinner on January 23. You may pay by check or online; however, please understand the cost of the dinner will by $50.00 until January 7. Thereafter, payment for the dinner will be $60.00. Payment at the door on Jan 23 will by $70. So if you and your guests want to save money, be sure that payment of $50.00 is made on or before Jan 7.
