Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, February 14 through Saturday February 20, 2016. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Inspiration

In celebration of Valentine's Day, Mother Teresa had two quetes, "Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love" and "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier," both of which will make us better Rotarians and better humans.

Love, sex and dating are often venerated as 'the ultimate goal of life'. However how much of our quest for love is about avoiding being with ourselves? About facing reality? About creating our own direction? And in running away from ourselves in love, do we ultimately avoid the work needed to return to selfhood that will actually bring us happiness.

We have had an open discussion related to the Pechanga Casino trip for more than two weeks, "We have scheduled a bus trip to Pechanga in April. The board set up a choice of either Saturday, April 16 or April 30. We need 40 to fill the bus. Please select one of the options below keeping in mind which date would be the better date for you and your guests.", yet only 4 members from So. Calif. has indicated their preferred date.
