Value of a Story

Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, May 22 through Saturday May 28, 2016. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.

Invocation

Almighty God, we thank You for our youth, for their searching inquiry, their sincerity. We thank You for those willing to share with them, and ask Your continued guidance that all may learn to work together and grow in understanding. Help us to accomplish the work You have given us to do. Amen.

Rotary 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.

Sing-Along Song—

Take your time and sing-along (wherever you may be).

Fine Master

Traditionally, Rotary clubs have Fine Masters who are responsible for collecting fines/happy dollars. The clipart to your left is our e-club Fine Master. Do you have happy dollars, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, opening a new business, new car, new child, new grandchild, etc. Please feel free (and perhaps obligated) to click on our Rotary FineMaster button to your right.

The minimum fine is $3.00 to ensure a sufficient amount to take care of the PayPal fee. The purpose of the fines can be viewed by clicking on [View Fines/Happy Dollars] from the [Weekly Meetings] main menu

Program—Value of a Story

Jennifer Jones, Rotary International Director 2015-17, gives a presentation to the Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, USA on December 14, 2015. If you would like to skip the introduction, click on the 5:00 minute time.

Though she didn't have a title for her presentation, she discussed the value of telling a story. For example, when sharing your Rotary story to potential members.

Club Business

We held our monthly meeting last week. Two important dates are Jun 12 and July 9. Because our next scheduled monthly meeting, June 19, is Fathers Day, the members decided to switch the date of our monthly meeting to Sunday, June 12 at the Marie Calendars in Buena Park.. Also, our annual Installation Dinner will be on July 9th. Please be sure to attend. Location still to be determined for the Installation Dinner. By then we may .able to have a Live Feed on Facebook,
