Welcome to the Global Kalinga e-Rotary Club for the week of Sunday, November 13 through Saturday November 19, 2016. We are an Internet based Rotary Club based in Quezon City, Philippines with core groups of members in Southern California and elsewhere. We serve our local and nearby communities as well as projects in the Philippines.
Inspiration
"“God we thank you for commissioning men and women in the defense of freedom. We honor those who honor and protect us, in many cases laying down their lives that we might live free to pursue our own destiny. Every soldier takes their oath knowing they may be called upon to pay the ultimate sacrifice.
Father, we cannot repay this gift they give us. For those who have suffered as a result of their sacrifice, we ask for supernatural healing, favor, peace, and in some cases, forgetfulness. Lift from them the cares and burdens of violence. When they return home, give them opportunities to fulfill their own potentials and dreams. Open doors for them, even when some doors are closed. God, Bless our veterans. Amen”
Rotary 4-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”
By building your team's self-esteem and encouraging them, the entire team becomes stronger.
Sing-Along Song—Armed Forces Medley
Bless our veterans both here in the Uited States and the Philippines.
Fine Master
Traditionally, Rotary clubs have Fine Masters who are responsible for collecting fines/happy dollars. The clipart to your left is our e-club Fine Master. Do you have happy dollars, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, opening a new business, new car, new child, new grandchild, etc. Please feel free (and perhaps obligated) to click on our Rotary Fine Master button to your right.
The minimum fine is $3.00 to ensure a sufficient amount to take care of the PayPal fee. The purpose of the fines can be viewed by clicking on [View Fines/Happy Dollars] from the [Weekly Meetings] main menu
Program—Verterans Day
A special Veterans Day video was played to the students and staff of MCHS on Friday, November 11, 2011. The 14-minute video included the historical background of Veterans day and how it developed into a national holiday. Also included were interviews with two veterans connected to the MCHS family detailing their personal stories of how the military has impacted their lives and what Veterans Day means to them. The two men interviewed were: Mr. Ken Maas, retired teacher and current campus monitor, and David Blackwell, husband of Susan Blackwell who is also a campus monitor.
If interested, here is another video to help complete your 30 minutes.
Col. Tom Whitehouse, the Command Inspector for 1st Marine Division (Forward) talks to Wright Elementary School in Hampshire, Ill., about the history of Veterans Day and clips of Marines on patrol and firing weapons with explosions. Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. If you like this video take a look at some of the over 1900 other videos with 11 million views on this channel! http://www.youtube.com/user/3rdID8487 ATTENTION!! We are moving! Because of YouTube's new policy against military related videos and on where advertisers are allowed to put their Ads, we must move our videos. Join us at our new home! WWW.USMILITARYVIDEOS.NET! You will find videos and photos not found here on YouTube!! Plus forums to discuss all things military related! You can even post your thoughts there! Plus Sports, Outdoors, Snipers Hide, Shooting, Hunting and Fishing pages! Questions or comments email chris@usmilitaryvideos.net Want to win $5000 worth of ammo!?!?!? Thought that would get your attention! Here at US Military Videos & Photos we have partnered with USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) to bring you this great chance at some great benefits! Our founder and owner, Chris Wagoner, is a life member of USCCA and believes in it completely! Why listen to him you say? Because he is a 33 year+ cop and police firearms instructor. He knows firearms! USCCA is a great association that is designed to protect and educate the armed citizen! If you are thinking of carrying a firearm for self-protection, already carry one, have firearms in your home or know someone that does, this is for you! USCCA provides education through its training courses, DVD’s and books. Online resources are first class and very well done. The USCCA magazine “Concealed Carry” is full of great tips, gear reviews, and legal information every responsible gun owner should know. If that was all they did that would be enough to check them out, but what is one of the best benefits is that they will provide legal prsfotection for you if you are involved in that life and death incident where you use your fireafor self-defense! That’s right they have insurance for your firearms and also will provide legal counsel if you need them because of a shooting incident. That alone is worth the membership fees! The piece of mind of knowing you are protected by USCCA in that time of chaos and emotional turmoil is worth it.
